Growing up, my family never celebrated Lunar New Year. But I do remember seeing the place-mats with the Chinese zodiac and the different years on tables in Chinese restaurants we would go to. As part of my journey to reconnect with parts of my culture, I created this series of Chinese zodiac animals to celebrate Chinese culture or Lunar New Year.
